RE:   Termination of RSM McGladrey Employer Services Support Team

Dear Former RSM McGladrey Employer Services Client,

On behalf of our entire team, we would like to thank you for having been a valued client of RSM McGladrey Employer Services (“RSMES”) and for your patience as we finalized the closing of our business. As promised when we first announced our company’s closing, in October 2006, we worked diligently to provide our clients with support services and outstanding tax notice resolution. Our current tax notice support team will no longer provide support resolution assistance.

All future notices are being forwarded to your company without our review. We continue to receive these notices on your behalf because RSMES is still listed as having Power of Attorney for payroll tax processing. Please take this opportunity to inform the agency of your wish to revoke all RSMES Power Of Attorney forms.

For your benefit we have added a Notice Fact Sheet providing you with some helpful tips on how to respond to your notice. In the event of an emergency involving a payroll tax issue associated with the time period that you were a client, you can send a fax to # 770-594-2552, for further suggestions or clarification but we will not be able to provide support resolution assistance.

On behalf of our entire team we would like to thank you for your business and wish you the best with your new payroll provider.

Sincerely,

RSM McGladrey Employer Services

How can you determine your client classification?

If you were an RSMES client prior to August 15th 2005 or after and you could access your payroll system by having the software program on your PC, then you are probably an M3 Client. Your client ID will be composed of between 4 and 8 alphanumeric characters.

If you were a Ceridian client who was transitioned to RSMES in 2005 or started processing payroll with RSMES between July 1, 2005, and December 31, 2005 then you are probably a ClearPay with Ceridian Processed Taxes client. You accessed your payroll data via the web and your client ID was composed of an alphanumeric 13 digit code, but used only a 3 digit company code.

If you started processing payroll with RSMES after December 31, 2005 you are probably a ClearPay with RSMES Processed Taxes client. You accessed your payroll data via the web and your client ID was composed of an alphanumeric 13 digit code, but used only a 3 digit company code.

Note:   There is a group of clients who were ClearPay with Ceridian Processed Taxes which were later transitioned to ClearPay with RSMES Processed Taxes, if you are one of these clients you will first need to determine the applicable client classification for the notice period before going to the appropriate notice help sheet.
